abstract

this study was conducted to compare fungi and whole rumen microorganisms (wrm) digestibility of treated sugarcane pith by fungi and of buffalos and holstein cows. dry matter (dm), neutral and acid detergent fiber (ndf and adf) digestibilities of steam treated sugarcane pith (stp) by fungi and wrm were compared with a two-steps digestion technique, gas production (gp) and specific rumen fungi culturing (srfc). dry matter, ndf and adf digestibilities of steam treated sugarcane pith by wrm in buffalo were higher (62, 32.31 and 22%, respectively) than cow (50.13, 27.07 and 16.2%, respectively) (p

The Comparison of in vitro Digestibility of Wheat Straw by Rumen Anaerobic Fungi of Khuzestan Buffalo and Holstein Cattle

This study was conducted to compare digestibility of wheat straw (WS) by fungi and whole rumen microorganisms (WRM). Dry matter (DM), neutral and acid detergent fiber (NDF and ADF) digestibility of WS were compared with in vitro digestion (IVD), gas production (GP) and specific rumen anaerobic fungi culture (SRAFC). Dry matter, NDF and ADF digestibility of WS by WRM of buffalo (60.80, 49.93 and...

Comparison digestibility and protozoa population of Khuzestan water buffalo and Holstein cow

The major aim of this study was to compare the morphology and activity of rumen protozoa of Khuzestan water buffalo and Holstein cow using in vitro digestibility and gas production parameters of steam treated sugarcane pith. Rumen fluid obtained from two buffalo and cow steers fed the same diet, 30:70 concentrate: forage. To separate rumen protozoa, antibiotic solution and fungicides were added...

The comparison of digestibility of treated sugarcane tops silage by bacteria or whole microorganisms of Holstein cow and buffalo rumen

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of adding sulfuric acid to sugarcane topssilage on rumen bacteria and whole rumen microorganisms (WRM) and compare the digestibility of sugarcane tops treated with different amount of urea, molasses and sulfuric acid between Holstein cow and Khouzestan buffalo. Regardless of the type of the treatment, potential of gas production (B) by cow WRM (...
